The idea of MagicSlate was created by David Bernik, who has been video editing since he was 13 years old.​

Having studied film production in Amsterdam, he spent his time working on set and editing films. But as he edited his own projects and helped his friends with theirs, one problem persisted: ​​​​
Organizing all the clips took forever.​​​​​​​
Seeing how it severly impacted almost everyone's motivation to edit further, David, being a bit of an organisation and efficiency nut, decided he had to fix it. And that's how MagicSlate came to be.
MagicSlate is a product developed by the Slovenian company, Epsilon Software, renowned for its extensive experience in supporting complex business processes, image and video processing, and extensive databases.

The company is now embarking on successfully integrating artificial intelligence to achieve the best results for its clients, among whom are Philip Morris, Intersport, Intersnack, and others.
